Listen to the verdict
8+ hours a day for the next 10 years? Aeron. Gaming + 4-6 hour work blend, with style? Titan Evo.
These solve different needs. The Aeron is a tool: industrial-grade ergonomics for someone whose job is sitting at a screen 8-10 hours. The Titan Evo is comfort: a cushioned, premium-feeling chair that suits a hybrid work/gaming setup. Both are excellent at their job; pick based on usage hours and aesthetic.

The Aeron was designed in 1994 and refined twice (Remastered 2016, PostureFit SL update 2020). It's the chair of choice for hedge fund trading floors, intensive-care nurse stations, and 24/7 contact centres — environments where chairs need to support uninterrupted use. The 12-year warranty is unique in this category and reflects Herman Miller's confidence in the durability.
The PostureFit SL lumbar support is the most clinically validated of any office chair. It uses a dual-pad design that supports both the lower spine (sacral) and the mid-back, in a way single-pad systems and removable pillows can't match. For people with existing back issues or who spend 8+ hours seated, this matters more than aesthetics.
At €499 the Titan Evo is one-third the Aeron's price and feels more luxurious. The cushioned cold-cure foam seat and the leatherette finish make it feel like a premium product immediately; the Aeron's mesh seat takes a few days to adjust to.
For a hybrid work-and-gaming setup, the Titan Evo is the right answer. The recline goes further (165° vs 145°), the headrest is included (the Aeron pointedly has none), and the aesthetic fits gaming rooms in a way the Aeron's beige-grey doesn't. Secretlab also has the best replacement-parts ecosystem in this category — you can replace just the seat foam or the armrest pad if it wears.
| If you... | Choose |

| Sit 4-6 hours/day with breaks | Titan Evo |
| Have existing back issues | Aeron |

| Game 2+ hours/day after work | Titan Evo (recline + headrest) |
| Want a chair to last 15+ years | Aeron (12-yr warranty) |

| Have a gaming / pop-aesthetic setup | Titan Evo |
| Budget <€800 | Titan Evo |
Buy the Herman Miller Aeron if work is sitting and you sit 8+ hours a day. The price amortises across 12 years of warranty and is the chair least likely to cause back problems.
Buy the Secretlab TITAN Evo if you blend work and gaming, value the cushioned feel, and want a premium chair without the Aeron's premium price. For most home offices that double as gaming setups, the Titan Evo is the right call.
