How we're funded

Affiliate disclosure

FutureFavs earns commissions through affiliate links. This page explains where the money comes from and the rules we keep ourselves to.

What "affiliate" means here

An affiliate link is a tagged URL. When you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission — typically between 1% and 10% of the purchase price. The price you pay is identical to the price anyone else pays. You are not charged extra for clicking through us.

Programmes we participate in

How affiliate links are marked

Every affiliate link on this site carries rel="noopener sponsored" in the underlying HTML, which is the W3C-standard way to flag a commercial relationship. Where required by FTC, ASA, or EU regulations, we add a visible disclosure near the link. The orange banner at the top of every page also serves as a permanent site-wide disclosure.

What this does NOT change

What this DOES allow us to do

Affiliate revenue is what pays for hosting, the time spent testing products, and the time spent writing. Without it, this would be a blog with no products tested and no time to write about them. If you find a review here useful and you were going to buy the product anyway, clicking through our link costs you nothing and helps keep the site running. We appreciate it.

Editorial independence

No advertiser, affiliate partner, or brand has the right to review or veto our coverage before it's published. We don't take press trips, "creator weekends," or paid placements. The commercial side of this site stops at the affiliate link in the sidebar buy box — beyond that, the words are ours alone.
